Together with Germanwatch e.V. I developed the six-square-metre hidden object image, which invites people to discover new ideas for a sustainable future and develop their own. This eye-catcher was presented for the first time at the 2017 Protestant Church Congress in Berlin, but has traveled through different exhibitions ever since.
What does a good life for all look like? We have a sound knowledge of sustainability issues at our disposal, but we have rarely internalized a feeling or images of how to live in a sustainable future. Yet we know that positive images of the future and stories are important for the Great Transformation.
In recent years, Germanwatch e.V. has developed numerous snippets of images of the future with possible solutions for the Great Transformation. This gave rise to the idea of creating a large picture that is "teeming" with ideas for the future.
The picture shows a future in which all people and the ecological environment are doing well. However, the picture could also look completely different, as there is of course no "one" ideal idea of sustainable development.
There are not only everyday scenes, curious and funny things to discover, but also ideas that already exist or are being developed on a small scale in the same or a similar form. The entire range of topics covered by the 17 SDGs, i.e. the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, is included in the hidden object picture.
